Track and weather conditions
 Description
of the tracks (road, landscape)
Walking routes are in different directions everyday.
On the routes, there are many nature; rivers, rice fields,
flowers, bamboos, woods etc.,
furthermore historical buildings, temples and shrines.
Tracks are easy to follow.
From 2006 sign boards to show walking direction are not prepared,
but sign tapes are used.
Please pay attention.
Good care along the road
Bring your own cup! Walkers can use free drinks along the
courses. There is free medical care at start / finish and along
the road. Food and drinks are available
at start/finish point.
Entertainment
At the start/finish place there are many
tents; drink, food and souvenir.
At the stage various entertainment are held every day.
Weather
Average daytime temperature 18° C.
Average nighttime temperature 9° C
Souvenir - award
Finisher’s medal or a Finisher’s pin
according the number of marches completed.
One/two day walkers receive a commemorative march certificate.
Sanctioned by IML and IVV.
Awarding ceremony is held at 18:00 on the 2nd day in Shimin Bunka Center.

From Narita Airport to Ikebukuro
●By train: choose from the followings●
(1).JR "NARITA EXPRESS" the following trains goes
straight to Ikebukuro Station: 80min, JPY3,110
(2).Some JR "NARITA EXPRESS" does not go straight
to Ikebukuro. In this case, it goes to Shinjuku Station
(75 min, JPY3,110)-change to JR Yamanote Line from Shinjuku
Station to Ikebukuro Station (5 min, JPY150)
(3).Keisei Express "SKYLINER" (Depart at every
30-40 minutes from 07:49 to 21:58) from Narita Airport to
Nippori Station (55 min, JPY1,920)-change to JR Yamanote
Line from Nippori Station to Ikebukuro Station (20 min, JPY160)
(4).JR Rapid Train "AIRPORT NARITA" from Narita
Airport to Tokyo Station (80min, JPY1280)-change to JR Yamanote
Line from Tokyo Station to Ikebukuro Station (30 min, JYE210)
(1) is the most fast an easiest way. (2). and (3).
takes about the same time, but (3). is cheaper and easier
to change train. (4). is the cheapest way but it takes
longer.

AIRPORT LIMOUSIN BUS to Ikebukuro (90-110 min <depends
on traffic condition>, JPY3000)
From Ikebukuro to Higashi-matsuyama
Tobu-Tojo Line, EXPRESS TRAIN from Ikebukuro Station to Higashi-matsuyama
Station (50 min, JPY630)
From Narita Airport to Shinrin-Koen
AIRPORT LIMOUSIN BUS to Shinrin-koen (145-160 min <depends
on traffic condition>, JPY3800)
* Shinrin-koen is a next station from Higashi-matsuyama station.
Directions to Start/Finish Point
Start/Finish Point is about 10mins from the station on foot.
At Higashi-matsuyama Station, exit from the left side (Higashi-guchi
or East Exit).
Go under the red gate of the shrine, and turn left at the
Family Mart store, on to the main street "Botan Street."
Keep on going straight, pass by Seven Eleven Store, Asahi
Bank and turn left at Higashi-matsuyama Sogo-Kaikan (4 storied
grey bldg.)
You can see the yellow gate of the Start/Finish Point (Matsuyama
Daiichi Elementary School).

Tourist information about
the surroundings
It takes about 1 hour from Tokyo
to Higashi-Matsuyama by train.
Old city Kyoto is about 3 hours far from Tokyo by “Shinkansen” Super
Express Train.
Mt.Fuji area is about 2 hours far from Shinjuku,Tokyo by
Highway bus, but it is impossible to climb up to the top
of Mt.Fuji. You can go up to the 5th level. Only in July
and August we are allowed to climb to the TOP.
