General information

Description of  tracks
Surrounded from a beautiful mountain-scenery you walk along the typical Tyrolean landscape of green forests and beautiful sunny meadows. All routes are quite easy to walk and lead you through a lot of eye catchers like breathtaking views to impressing mountains or valleys. From the starting point at the WM-Halle in Seefeld you walk on the first day through the Leutasch valley to Mösern and back to Seefeld. On the second day you get a view of the Inntalvalley by hiking through the village Reith. The third day leads you to the world’s first and unique transboundary route between Austria and Germany. Starting from Seefeld you pass the boundary to Mittenwald in Germany and return over Scharnitz back to the finishing place.
A lot of impressing nature-experiences are guaranteed.
Care:
Free soft drinks and tea at all refreshing points. Snacks for special prices are offered.
Entertainment:
You will have the opportunity to meet a lot of people from all over the world at different events in the WM-Halle of Seefeld. There a big opening ceremony as well as a traditional Tyrolean evening and the closing ceremony take place (entries for free). Enjoy typical Tyrolean dishes and exchange your experiences with other hikers. In Seefeld you can find lots of different possibilities for entertainment. Excellent restaurants and bars as well as the famous casino of Seefeld are situated there.
Weather:
In September hikers find the perfect weather conditions in a pleasant climate with an average temperature of about 15 degrees. 

Souvenir – award:
Everybody who walks on every day at least 20 km  (total 60km – 3 days) receives a medal or pins.
IVV awards for daily walkers.

Transport:

  • by plane: Airport Munich –2hours by car Airport Innsbruck 30 Minutes by car
  • by train: Munich-Garmisch-Seefeld  or Innsbruck-Seefeld
  • by car: highways lead from Germany, Switzerland and Italy to Innsbruck (30Minutes from Seefeld)
Accommodation:
  • Hotels, bed and breakfasts, apartments: you find appropriate accommodation in every category in the Olympiaregion Seefeld.
  • Camping: 2 camping sites
