Description of the tracks (road,
landscape)
The course gives the walker a good idea of the
various landscapes and surroundings of Blankenberge. Eye-catchers along
the road will be the surprising sea and dune sights, a couple of quiet
dune and polder nature reserves, the sea resorts of Wenduine and De
Haan, the open agricultural area of the Polders, the historic site of
Lissewege and some unique polder villages, such as Zuienkerke, where
old trades are brought to life again and lots of ancient stuff can be
purchased at the jumble market.
Also the old fishing harbour,
the promenade, the Pier, the spectacular Sea Life Center and the
fascinating Serpentarium are part of the walking route.
