The weekend will include a choice of 5, 10, 15, 25 and 42 km routes for walkers and 25 and 42 km routes for cyclists, giving everyone an opportunity to sample different parts of the local countryside on Saturday and Sunday. Walkers use a combination of footpaths, fields and roads visiting picturesque villages and the rolling English countryside. Special 25 km & 42 km all road routes are available for cyclists and walkers. The 5km route is aimed at those people who wish to take part in the event for the first time, wheelchair users and families. There is also a Waendel swim on Saturday.
Good care
Food, drink and toilets are available at control points on the routes
at regular intervals.
Entertainment
There is free entertainment at The Castle where participants can meet
in a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy friendship and camaraderie.

It is springtime and normally the weather is good, however, English
weather is unpredictable and can change without warning. Be
prepared for all types of weather sunshine and showers.
Average daytime temperature is around 13 degrees celsius.
Souvenir Waendal medals, ribbons and badges are available to purchase according to the number of years that a participant has walked that distance. Award fee in advance £2 and on the spot £2.50. Distance certificates no charge.
